We’ve got a bunch of experienced doctors who are totally into the whole avian and exotic pet care thing. So you know your unique companions are in great hands! Our team is dedicated to keeping up with the latest research and information to help you care for your unique pet. Birds, hamsters, guinea pigs, rabbits, snakes, geckos, you name it!

We’re here to make sure your pet receives the specialized care they need.

We love taking care of dogs and cats, but we’re also here for your exotic or unusual pets! To keep them healthy and happy, we suggest bringing them in for a yearly wellness exam to prevent any future illnesses or diseases. Some of the cool exotic pets we’ve cared for include (but not limited to):

Exotic Lodging Services Include

When your buddy’s staying with us, please remember to bring their individual housing, their cozy bedding, food and water bowls, and of course, their favorite treats. It’s all about creating a familiar environment for our exotic friends – it really makes a world of difference!

Exotic Lodging Pricing & Deposits

*Holiday pricing is effective two days before and two days after the following public holidays: New Year’s Day, Easter, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day

The prices for lodging mentioned above are per enclosure, per day. You’ll be charged from the day you drop off your furry/feathered/scaly friend(s), no matter the time. If you pick them up before noon, there won’t be a daily charge. However, if it’s after noon, a daily charge will be added. Thanks for your understanding!

Deposits

A deposit equal to one night’s lodging is required at the time of booking. Deposits are fully refundable if a reservation is canceled or rescheduled at least 48 hours before the scheduled arrival. If changes are made within 48 hours of arrival, the deposit will be forfeited. Please note that add-ons such as playtimes, treats, or spa services are not included in the deposit.

Exotic Animal Enclosures

For the health, safety, and comfort of all pets in our care, lodging guests classified as exotic pets (including but not limited to birds, reptiles, and small mammals) must arrive with their own secure cage or enclosure. If an appropriate cage or enclosure is not provided at check-in, we will provide one, when available, for the duration of the pet’s stay. A flat fee of $25.00 will be charged per stay for the use of one of our enclosures.

Please understand that access to enclosures is subject to availability and may not be suitable for all exotic species. If an appropriate enclosure is not available, we reserve the right to refuse lodging for the pet(s).

Vaccination Requirements

The health and safety of your pet are extremely important to us, which is why we require all pet resort guests to be up-to-date on vaccines. We closely follow the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) and many other veterinary organizations that show the importance of vaccines in protecting our pets against contagious and deadly diseases. The following vaccines are required to have been completed (including any necessary booster doses) at least two weeks before arrival for all applicable pet resort guests:

Ferrets

Rabies – within the previous 12 months
Distemper – within the previous 12 months

Health Assurance Program

Our Health Assurance Program is just $10.00 per pet, per lodging stay. It covers up to $500 in reimbursement for covered illnesses or injuries during your fur baby’s stay at Tipp to Tail Pet Resort.
